Join two of New Zealand's pre-eminent career professionals Dr Lynette Reid and Robyn Bailey for a masterclass designed to build confidence, challenge and inspire career professionals working in all fields.

The workshop will be in two parts:
1. Session Management

Investigate roles and responsibitlities in a session
Gain clarity around how to balance session management and content
2. Advanced Counselling Skills – with a focus on constructivist approaches to working with clients

Explore the ARPI helping process
Learn how to incorporate a theoretical perspective into your counselling approach
Deepen your understanding and improve your practice through demonstration, exercises and critique
The masterclass training will deliver 8 CPD hours in total:

Two hours preparation in the form of pre-reading and a written reflective piece that would be referred to during the workshop
Six hours of workshop time eg 10am – 4pm
The Masterclass will meet the CDANZ Draft Competency Framework seeking ratification at the CDANZ AGM on Oct 23:
4. Advanced Communication Skills These competencies address the high-level communication skills required in the work of career development practitioners, including the importance of personalising techniques for the client
8.1 Apply Counselling Skills - Counselling is fundamental to the work of many career development practitioners, and appropriate training must be undertaken to develop the specialised competencies.

Please note CDANZ requires a minimum of 18 registrations by Nov 2 in order to proceed with this event. Please book early to demonstrate your interest. If the event is unable to proceed a full refund will be given.
